“If your habits don’t change, you wont have a new year, you’ll just have another year”.
Think about that for a second.
We all start the new year with aspirations. We set goals however are sidetracked within the first few months, only to remember them too late. I am sure no one wants to wake up in June and ponder how time flew by. Right?
How many times have we told ourselves that this year will be different but ended up right where we started.
Why does that happen? Most probably, because we are trying to build a new life with old habits.
Stop wasting another year. I know that I will not let 2025 pass by in vain.
My wake up call came into the form of a quote 6 weeks into the new year. I will be very honest, lately I have been distracted and stepped away from my resolutions and into the comfort of my old habits. However, I took the reigns back into my own hands. It is never too late to do so. Let this post be your wake up call.
One resolution that I am keen on completing this year is the Book Challenge that I participate yearly on Goodreads.
Over this long weekend I finished 3 books, 2 of which are fiction because who doesn’t need a good murder mystery to let their hair down,am I right?
On the other hand, I want to share with you “The Untethered Soul”, a must add to your TBR list.
This book is for anyone who wants to lead a happier and healthier life, let go of the negative emotions and learn the benefits of spiritualism.
It is divided into 5 parts and I will not lie when I say that Part I, “Awakening Consciousness” is a slow tedious read. Hang in there because the pace catches up through Part II “Experiencing Energy” and then Part III with “Freeing Yourself”, and onwards to Part IV “Going Beyond” and end with Part V, “Living Life”.
I learnt to practice achieving inner peace and personal growth by letting go of what does not serve me anymore. I always hear that The mind is one’s greatest enemy if not tamed with wisdom.
This impulse buy might be one of the best decisions I made a few weeks back. I am happy to lend it to you if you don’t mind the scribblings within its pages.
I will leave you with one of my favourite quotes from the book
“To attain inner freedom, you must be able to objectively watch your problems instead of being lost in them”.
To 2025 and becoming free of limitations, soaring beyond your boundaries and finding inner peace by navigating your thoughts and emotions.
